Welcome to Detroit, the Big D, and arguably the home of techno. Over the years, Movement Detroit has grown from a local, techno-focused festival to a global powerhouse featuring techno, house, and so much more! Be on the lookout for marquee names like Dom Dolla, GRiZ, Adam Beyer, and Richie Hawtin, along with some incredible Detroit talent that is not to be missed!

One of the best features of Movement Detroit is that re-entry is allowed, so you can enter and exit Hart Plaza as needed. Hart Plaza is a well-contained oasis on the waterfront and Paxahau makes sure to fill the park with everything you need. Another terrific feature is that the afterparties are absolutely amazing, and nearly always within walking distance of the main event. Lastly, within walking distance of Movement Detroit is a ton of history, culture, food, and entertainment for those arriving before or staying after the festival. Unfortunately, many people have reported pickpockets, bag slashings, and theft of wallets, smartphones, purses and other valuables during this festival season. While this small number of bad apples in the bunch doesn’t define an entire crowd, there are opportunistic people who come to these events to take advantage of unsuspecting partygoers and it’s important to be mindful of your valuables while at Movement Detroit.
